Terms & Conditions

Last updated: February 2026

These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of the Paws, Claws & Tails website (pawsclawsandtails.com.au) and any classes, courses, consults, sessions, products or services you purchase from Paws, Claws & Tails with Charlotte Bryan ("we", "our", "us"). By making a booking, signing up for an account or otherwise using the site, you agree to these Terms.

1. About us

Paws, Claws & Tails is a sole-trader dog training business based on the Sunshine Coast, Queensland, Australia, operated by Charlotte Bryan. We run group puppy classes at Mudjimba Community Hall, Kawana Scouts Hall and Eudlo Hall, plus private 1:1 consults, behaviour modification, therapy dog training and online courses. For questions, contact admin@pawsclawsandtails.com.au.

2. Bookings, payment & pricing

  • Prices are shown in Australian dollars (AUD) and include GST where applicable.
  • Bookings are confirmed only once full payment has been received. Group class spots are limited and allocated on a first-paid, first-served basis.
  • Payments are processed securely via Stripe. We do not store your card details.
  • If a class is over-subscribed and you have paid, we will offer a transfer to the next available intake or a full refund — your choice.

3. Cancellations, rescheduling & refunds

  • Group classes: Full refunds are available if you cancel 7+ days before the first class. Cancellations made 3–6 days before the first class are eligible for a 50% refund or a free transfer to a future intake. Cancellations within 48 hours of the first class are non-refundable but a future-intake transfer may be offered at our discretion.
  • Private sessions & consults: 24+ hours notice is required for a full refund or free reschedule. Less than 24 hours notice results in forfeiture of the session.
  • Missed individual classes within a series: Cannot be refunded. Catch-up materials and an email check-in are provided where possible.
  • Severe weather, illness or unforeseen circumstances: Where we cancel for safety reasons, you'll be offered a free transfer to the next available session or a full refund.
  • Refunds are processed to the original payment method within 7 business days of approval.

4. Training methods & equipment

We are a fear-free, reward-based training business. We do not permit the use of aversive tools (including but not limited to electronic / shock collars, prong collars, choke chains, citronella collars) in any of our classes or private sessions. Standard flat collars, martingales, well-fitted harnesses, and front-clip or head-halter walking aids are welcome.

5. Vaccinations & health

  • Puppies must have had at least their first C3 vaccination prior to commencing Puppy School.
  • Adult dogs in group settings must be up-to-date on C5 vaccination (or equivalent titer test).
  • If your dog is unwell (vomiting, diarrhoea, kennel cough, etc.) please stay home — we'll arrange a make-up.
  • You agree to disclose any pre-existing medical, behavioural or temperament concerns at the time of booking and again at intake.

6. Owner responsibility

You remain solely responsible for your dog's behaviour, supervision and safety during all classes, consults and sessions. You agree to keep your dog on lead or otherwise under your direct control as instructed, to clean up after your dog, and to comply with venue / local council rules.

7. Photography & video

We occasionally take photos or video of classes for client reports and (with your separate, written consent) for social media or marketing. If you do not wish your dog or yourself to be photographed, please let us know at intake and we will exclude you.

8. Online courses & digital content

Access to online courses, video lessons and downloadable materials is granted to you personally and is non-transferable. You may not share, redistribute or republish our digital content. We reserve the right to suspend access for breach of this clause.

9. Client portal & account security

You are responsible for keeping your portal password secure. Notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorised access. We may suspend accounts that are misused or shared.

10. Australian Consumer Law

Nothing in these Terms excludes, restricts or modifies any consumer guarantees, rights or remedies under the Australian Consumer Law (Schedule 2 of the Competition and Consumer Act 2010) that cannot lawfully be excluded.

11. Limitation of liability

Subject to clause 10, to the maximum extent permitted by law our total aggregate liability arising from or in connection with any service is limited to the amount you paid for that specific service. We are not liable for any indirect, consequential, incidental or special loss.

12. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify us against any loss, damage, claim or expense (including legal costs) arising from your dog's actions, your breach of these Terms, or your negligence.

13. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top tells you when. Material changes affecting your active bookings will be communicated to you by email.

14. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia. Any dispute will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Queensland.
