How Do You Discipline A Dog?

Dogs need to understand what type of behaviour is acceptable to their humans and what is not. Plenty of people still think 'discipline' means yelling, smacking or punishment — it doesn't. The kindest, fastest way to teach a dog is to reward what you do want and prevent or interrupt what you don't.

Manage the environment so wrong choices are harder to make. Reward right choices generously and immediately. Be consistent. That's it.
